PORT ADELAIDE has emerged from Round 19 relatively unscathed, with Darcy Byrne-Jones expected to return for Saturday night’s Showdown.

Byrne-Jones suffered a concussion in the side’s Round 18 Carlton clash, but the utility has progressed well and will undergo a final test later this week.

Orazio Fantasia was a late withdrawal from Sunday’s SANFL match citing quad tightness, with the small forward to be assessed throughout the week.

Nathan Barkla is also recovering from a quad issue, with the 19-year-old likely to spend another week on the sidelines, while key defender Tom McCallum underwent a successful surgery to have his appendix removed late last week.

In good news, Brynn Teakle, Charlie Dixon, Jason Horne-Francis and Trent McKenzie all returned from injury over the weekend with no concerns.

Port Adelaide will name its selected side for Saturday’s match against Adelaide on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
