A strong Port Adelaide side may be hard to break into this week, with the team back to its winning ways, defeating Greater Western Sydney by 51 points on Sunday.

Heading into the penultimate minor round, the Power will be keen to maintain as much consistency as possible following several forced changes through injury and illness across the last month.

The ever-experienced Travis Boak is likely to return for Sunday’s Fremantle clash after the 35-year-old was withdrawn with illness last weekend.

Young ruck Dante Visentini was another late out with quad tightness on Friday and will be assessed throughout the week for a possible comeback.

Midfielder Jackson Mead was outstanding in the SANFL on Saturday, collecting 27 disposals, seven marks and eight clearances, while Hugh Jackson continues to push his case for selection.

Jackson, who is yet to debut at AFL level, had 25 touches and six clearances in Saturday’s close loss to Glenelg, with the 20-year-old again in the mix, should the right opportunity become available.

Quinton Narkle, Jase Burgoyne and Riley Bonner were held back from football last weekend as AFL emergencies, with all three players a possibility to be looked at for the AFL side this week.

Narkle became a fast fan-favourite after his club debut against Geelong in Round 15, slotting two goals in his first outing in black, white and teal.

Both Burgoyne and Bonner have been waiting for another opportunity, with both players last appearing at AFL level in Round 21 against Geelong.

Port Adelaide will name an extended team for the Round 23 game against Fremantle on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST, followed by the final team at 4:30pm ACST on Friday.
