PORT Adelaide will play interstate in Round 1 next year after it was revealed the Crows would host Essendon to open the 2013 season.

The Crows will play the Bombers on Friday March 22 with the Western Derby to take place the next day as the only two fixtures on that weekend.

The remaining seven games, including the Power's first game for 2013, will be played between Thursday March 28 and Monday April 1 over the Easter weekend - a perfect opportunity for a road trip to see the boys play!

The full 2013 premiership season fixture will be released later this month.
