PORT ADELAIDE will take an unchanged line up into its semi final encounter with Geelong at the MCG on Friday night.

The Power's senior coach Ken Hinkley said he wanted to reward a good performance against Collingwood in last weekend's elimination final when choosing his side to challenge the Cats.

"We'll go in unchanged and look forward to the opportunity to give those boys another chance to play," said Hinkley.

Hinkley also said he resisted the temptation to make changes, even despite forecast rain and storms in Melbourne on Friday.

"There is (a temptation to make changes), there's forecast rain (but) I don't think we'll change our minds."

"I think it's just something we need to be mindful of and (it's also) dependant on what Geelong's side looks like."

The Power squad had a light run and skills session on the MCG on Thursday afternoon.

No late changes are expected with only Paul Stewart replacing Cameron Hitchcock on the emergencies list.

Port Adelaide plays Geelong in the AFL Second Semi Final at the MCG at 7:50pm (AEST) on Friday night.
