Port Adelaide midfielder Maria Moloney could make a return to football this weekend for her side’s first interstate game of the NAB AFLW season.

The 28-year-old was ineligible for selection due to suspension over the last two weeks, but suffered an ankle sprain during a match simulation for non-selected players.

Moloney has been back running and is expected to rejoin full training later this week to ensure she is fit for selection.

Port Adelaide will name its extended side for this Sunday’s game against St Kilda at 5:50pm ACST on Thursday and then its final team at 4:30pm ACST on Friday.
