A reduced number of Port Adelaide-listed players will play in the SANFL this week.

With the club's SANFL side having the bye, only 12 players will run out in the state league this week.

Matt Thomas will look to continue his good form with the Redlegs tonight at Norwood Oval, while Jarrad Redden will be striving for a good game with the Eagles in his first SANFL match for the year.

It will also be Kane Mitchell's first game at SANFL level with the Eagles after being placed back on the rookie list this week, while Nick Salter will make his return to football in the Eagles reserves after recovering from a long-term foot injury.

North Adelaide-aligned players Andrew Moore and Nathan Blee will line up against the Bloods at Richmond Oval tonight as well.

Jack Hombsch will be the only player in the league match between Sturt and South at Unley on Saturday, while Mason Shaw will play up forward for the Panthers' reserves earlier in the day.

Cam Hitchcock, Tom Clurey and Sam Colquhoun will all play in the Glenelg v Central District fixture at the Bay on Saturday night.

Regular Magpies players John Butcher and Brendon Ah Chee will play as guests in the reserves at West Adelaide tonight and South Adelaide tomorrow respectively.
