PORT Adelaide ruckman Dean Brogan is expected to play against the Brisbane Lions this weekend despite missing training on Wednesday.

The Power again trained at AAMI Stadium on Friday and Brogan managed to complete the short session.

Surjan and defender Paul Stewart (nose/concussion) will also play, while midfielder/forward Robbie Gray (back/hamstring) is expected to be available for round four.

Port Adelaide blew a seven-goal quarter-time lead to lose by 15 points when these two sides met at the Gabba in round 21 last season, but Williams denied he would use the embarrassing loss as motivation for the players this week.

“We were disappointed about losing that game, but we had a lot of players that weren’t fit in the last half of the game. We don’t dwell on it too much,” he said.

“They were going into the finals and we were struggling to make it. It’s a new year and we want to get off to a win. It’s been a wonderful rivalry over the years and we look forward to keeping our head above them.”
