Port Adelaide has just signed its 34,185th member for the 2008 season, eclipsing last year’s number of 34,073.

The figure includes Game-Day, Planet Teal, Essential Power and Ultimate members and is the final number for the 2008 season (the AFL’s cut-off date for membership is June 30).

The increase in membership comes despite a tough season on the field, showing the passion and commitment of the Port Adelaide faithful.

Power skipper Warren Tredrea is asking supporters to turn this increase in membership into an increase in crowd numbers, which have been down in 2008.

“We’ve got the most passionate fans in the AFL and we need them to get behind us for our last five home games,” Tredrea said.

“I don’t think people understand just how much it lifts the boys to have a big crowd at home games making some noise, they really do become the 23rd player.”

And getting to Power games is now more affordable than ever with the release of a new three-game ticket offer. Fans can purchase the Power Saver 3 pack (giving them entry to games against North Melbourne, Fremantle and Collingwood) for just $57, a saving of $33! And you can take the kids for just $6 – only $2 per game.

Book today by calling BASS on 8205 2200 or in person at the Festival Theatre Box Office, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm and quote POWER SAVER Deal.
