QUINTON NARKLE will miss a period of football while he recovers from a foot issue.

The 26-year-old reported pain in his foot following Sunday's SANFL game and scans have since shown early signs of stress in his navicular.

Narkle is now in a moonboot, with a timeline for his return to be determined over the coming days.
