FORWARD Charlie Dixon won’t make the trip to Hobart for Yartapuulti’s game against North Melbourne on Saturday.

Dixon will be rested as part of a coordinated management plan.

The 33-year-old also sat out the Round 6 game against Collingwood.

He has played nine games this season, booting 13 goals.

Coach Ken Hinkley has confirmed Dixon’s absence.

“Charlie has been competing really hard for us,” Hinkley said on Tuesday evening.

“We’ve already managed him this year and he’ll have another rest this week.

“We’ll make sure he’s rested up and as ready as he can be for the rest of the season, and we will continue to have an eye to managing our squad across the season.”

Yartapuulti will name its side to face the Kangaroos on Thursday at 5:50pm ACST.
