IN: C Dixon 22, Q Narkle 42
OUT: K Farrell 6 (injured), D Visentini 38 (omitted)
Port Adelaide has made two changes for Thursday’s Qualifying Final, with Charlie Dixon and Quinton Narkle returning to the side.
Dixon was a late withdrawal in Round 24 due to illness, while Narkle played a full game in the SANFL on the same weekend, after spending a few weeks as the AFL sub.
Defender Kane Farrell comes out of the team after suffering a high-grade hamstring strain in the final game of the home-and-away season, while young ruck Dante Visentini has been omitted.
This is the third time in the past five seasons that Port Adelaide and Geelong have played each other in the first week of finals, with both previous meetings resulting in victory for the Power.
Travis Boak, Francis Evans, Jed McEntee, Quinton Narkle and Jackson Mead have been named on the bench, with the tactical substitute to be chosen from the interchange and announced one hour before the bounce.
The last time the two sides met was in Round 9, with the Power securing an exciting six-point win at GMHBA Stadium.
Thursday night’s sold out Qualifying Final against the Cats will take place at Adelaide Oval from 7:10pm ACST.
