Captain Nick Moore will make his return from injury and new recruit Jack Watkins have been included in Port Adelaide’s SANFL side for Saturday’s pre-season trial match against West Adelaide.
Moore last played for the Magpies in Round 16 last season and has been working his way back to full fitness, while Watkins sat out last week’s pre-season hit-out against Norwood.
Coach Hamish Hartlett has named 15 AFL-listed players in a 23-player squad including new faces Benny Barrett, Jack Whitlock and Tom Cochrane, though fellow draftee Christian Moraes has been called into the AFL line-up for his senior debut.
Hartlett will be coaching against his brother Adam Hartlett who oversees the Bloods with the pair splitting last year’s games one win each.
The SANFL trial game gets underway at 10:30am with free entry for all patrons.
Gates open at 8:00am with downstairs at the Precinct open from 8:30am for those seeking a morning coffee or cold beverage.
Upstairs at The Precinct at Alberton opens at 11:30am with bookings for lunch still available.
