Darcy Byrne-Jones has been selected for Port Adelaide’s clash against Sydney at the SCG this Sunday afternoon.
Returning after serving a one-match ban, Byrne-Jones has been named on the interchange alongside Travis Boak, Ollie Wines, Willem Drew and Tom Cochrane, with one of the five to later be announced as the sub.
Father-son selection Jackson Mead will play his 50th AFL game after a breakout 2024, where he featured in all 26 matches for the Power.
The 23-year-old made his debut in 2022, and has since been known for his courage in the contest and attack on the football.
Travis Boak will play his 376th game, jumping into equal ninth place alongside David Mundy for most VFL/AFL games played.
After two weeks as the sub, draftee Joe Berry has been omitted and is set to make his SANFL debut on Friday night at Alberton.
Port Adelaide last met Sydney in the 2024 Preliminary Final at the SCG, with the home side defeating the visitors by 36 points.
