THE POWER will be without three key players on Saturday against North Melbourne.

Brad Ebert will not play after suffering a bruised lung against the Hawks in Round 16.

It will be the first game he has missed in five seasons with the Power, having played all 108 games for the club since debuting for Port in 2012.

“Brad won’t play, which is a disappointing thing, but player welfare and safety first is the most important thing for us,” Power coach Ken Hinkley told RSN Radio.

“He trained [this week], but he got a really severe knock to his ribs and some bruising [on his lungs.]

“It’s not an area we’re going to risk, and Brad’s pushed hard to play because he hasn’t missed a game in his time at Port Adelaide.

“He’ll be a significant out for us.”

Nathan Krakouer will also miss the clash due to a family funeral.

Tom Jonas meantime will not return against the Kangaroos after suffering hamstring soreness in the Power’s main training session yesterday.

He was originally scheduled to play his return game after missing six matches with suspension.

“We’ve sent him for scans this morning [Thursday] and will have a clear picture on Monday what it means for him,” Power head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

Port Adelaide plays North Melbourne at 4.35pm (AEST) on Saturday 16 July at Etihad Stadium.
