PORT ADELAIDE has dominated the votes in Round 5 of the Shadforth AFLCA Champion of the Year Award after its impressive win against West Coast.
Co-captain Ollie Wines received maximum votes from the two coaches for his 35-disposal, one-goal game against the reigning premiers.
Small forward Sam Gray was also strongly recognised after he collected 26 touches and booted two goals.
Sam Powell-Pepper and Dan Houston each picked up three votes, while Dougal Howard and former Eagle Scott Lycett received two votes.
Round 5 rising star nominee Jack Petruccelle was the only Eagles player in the list, getting two votes for his five-goal game.
Patrick Cripps has jumped to the top of the leaderboard with seven votes in Carlton’s strong win over the Western Bulldogs.
Marcus Bontempelli dropped to second with one vote against the Blues, while Geelong’s Tim Kelly and Patrick Dangerfield could rise when the votes from Easter Monday’s clash are released.
