PORT ADELAIDE co-captain Tom Jonas has drawn the ire of the Match Review Officer for his bump on Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn on Saturday.
Jonas has been charged with engaging in rough conduct over the bump on Gawn in the second quarter of the Round 1 match at the MCG.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
The incident was classified as a $3000 sanction but Jonas can accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.
It means Jonas is free to play against Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.
