PORT ADELAIDE produced a stunning performance against Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon, running out 59-point winners in front of a big crowd.

Here are some talking points from Port’s Round 20 victory.

Port Adelaide’s future looks very bright:

Dan Houston was arguably the best player on the ground against the Bombers, collecting 29 touches, 10 marks and two goals. His move into the midfield has been fantastic, and at just 22 years of age, he is becoming a very versatile player.

Xavier Duursma (19 years old) and Darcy Byrne-Jones (24) were also prolific ball-winners against the Dons with 26 and 25 touches respectively, while Connor Rozee (19) looked extremely dangerous in the forward half, collecting 22 disposals and kicking 2.5.

Todd Marshall (20) was also impressive in just his seventh game this season - 17th overall - kicking three goals from 11 touches and six marks.

The Power can kick big scores:

Port kicked 19.12 (126) against the Bombers at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon - its second-highest score of the season to date.

Its 31 scoring shots was the most this season, eclipsing the 29 shots it had against St Kilda at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai.

The Power scored from 53 per cent of its inside 50 entries in Round 20.

Robbie Gray put on a show at Marvel

The four-time All-Australian set the tone for the visitors, kicking the first goal of the afternoon and then producing an amazing goal assist as Cam Sutcliffe snapped from the pocket.

Gray also kicked the opening goal of the final term to put the result beyond doubt, and finished with four goals from his 19 touches and five marks.

The midfield/forward has now kicked 21 goals and has averaged more than 23 disposals per game this season.
