Port Adelaide forward Jack Lukosius could make his return to football sooner than initially anticipated.
The new recruit fractured his kneecap in the Power's Round 2 win over Richmond, and underwent a successful surgery in the days following.
Now two weeks post-surgery, Lukosius is expected to be available for selection in the next six to eight weeks.
Defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher is approaching a return to training, Ryan Burton is continuing to rehab a hip flexor issue, and Jed McEntee will be assessed this week.
Port Adelaide will name its squad for Sunday's Gather Round clash against Hawthorn on Thursday, with the final team announced on Friday afternoon.
