PORT ADELAIDE Father-Son Academy member Jackson Mead has been named in the 2019 NAB AFL Under 18 All-Australian team.
Mead was selected on the half-forward flank in the All-Australian team, after being named in the best players in three of the four South Australian games.
Mead was influential in the Croweaters’ 11-point victory over Western Australia in his side’s first game of the competition, with 16 possessions and a goal.
The talented midfield/forward was also superb against Victoria Country, collecting 22 disposals and two goals, but his best performance came against Victoria Metro where he racked up 25 touches, nine tackles and seven inside 50s.
Will Gould's late goal for SA went unrewarded in some ways but it was a dominant showing from the strong half-back. 26 disposals in his best game of the carnival. Bound for back-to-back All Australian honours. Port father-son Jackson Mead very handy with 22 and 2 gls, too.
