CHARLIE DIXON will make his long-awaited return to football on Saturday when Port Adelaide takes on Sturt in the SANFL at Alberton Oval.

Dixon has not played since Round 21, 2018 when he fractured his fibula and damaged ligaments in his right ankle while playing against West Coast at Adelaide Oval.

The 28-year-old has been impressive during his rehabilitation.

Power co-captain Ollie Wines will also feature for the Magpies against the Double Blues in his return from a small fracture in his fibula.

The injury saw the 24-year-old miss the last four games.

The full squad for Saturday’s SANFL game will be released this afternoon, while the Power has a bye.

Port Adelaide takes on Sturt from 2:10pm on Saturday 8 June at Alberton Oval with free entry for all Power game-access members so they can get their footy fix.

There is also free entry for children under 18 and the first 200 through the gate will receive a free McDonalds football.
