PORT ADELAIDE hosts Geelong in a blockbuster clash at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night in Round 14 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
Geelong is two games clear at the top of the table with one round of the byes to play, and will be looking to consolidate its spot at the top.
Port has been on the road for over a month - with a bye involved - and will be looking to get back on the winner’s list after a disappointing last term against Fremantle led to a 21-point loss.
The Power will be boosted by the inclusion of co-captain Ollie Wines, key forward Charlie Dixon, as well as Brad Ebert and young defender Joel Garner.
Geelong will be missing ruck/forward Esava Ratugolea with a hamstring injury - he will be replaced by youngster Darcy Fort.
The Cats have started the season in sensational form with an 11-1 record, while the Power have been a little inconsistent and sit just outside the top eight with a 6-6 ledger.
Chris Scott’s men have had the wood over Port in recent times, winning 14 of the last 15 contests between the sides.
Port Adelaide’s last victory over Geelong was in Round 6, 2014, when Ken Hinkley’s men ran out 40-point winners at Adelaide Oval.
Last year, the Cats travelled to Adelaide on a Friday night in ANZAC Round and led from start to finish.
The visitors kicked three goals to one in the opening term, and were never really challenged, running out 34-point winners.
Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield and Sam Menegola were the major possession-winners for the Cats, while Robbie Gray collected a game-high 32 touches for the home side.
James Parsons and George Horlin-Smith each kicked two goals in a very even team performance by the Victorian outfit.
Geelong hold a dominant 22-9 head-to-head record between the two sides.
