PORT ADELAIDE has a near-full list to pick from for this Saturday’s season-opener against Fremantle at Adelaide Oval.
Clubs were able to play a 26-man squad throughout the JLT Community Series, but that figure will be trimmed by four for the AFL Premiership Season – meaning the competition for spots is fierce.
WHO’S IN CONTENTION?
Jack Watts, Steven Motlop and Tom Rockliff are all expected to make their AFL debuts for the club, after training and performing strongly since arriving at Alberton in November.
Dom Barry shapes as another potential debutant for the club, after impressive performances in the AFLX, and both JLT clashes against West Coast and Adelaide.
Travis Boak (hamstring) and Sam Powell-Pepper (shoulder) are both expected to be named in the side after overcoming niggles, which could keep out talented youngster Joe Atley.
While Riley Bonner looks poised to face the Dockers, after great pre-season form and the hamstring injury to Jasper Pittard in the club’s last JLT hit-out.
