WESTERN BULLDOG Marcus Bontempelli is expected to return from appendicitis to face Port Adelaide in Ballarat on Sunday afternoon.
Bontempelli has missed the last two games for the Dogs after appendix surgery but is expected to play, despite the initial assessment of a three-week break.
The Bulldogs will be forced to make at least two changes to the side that lost to West Coast in Perth, with injuries to Mitch Honeychurch and Luke Dahlhaus.
Second-year forward Fergus Greene has been in good form in the VFL and could come into the side to face the Power at Mars Stadium.
The 26-man squads will be announced tomorrow evening.
