PORT ADELAIDE forward Charlie Dixon is undergoing surgery this afternoon on the fractured leg he injured in Saturday night’s loss to West Coast.
The 27-year-old suffered a season-ending fractured right fibula after landing awkwardly in a marking contest during the third quarter.
Defender Dan Houston has been cleared of any major neck damage after a nasty collision while trying to spoil a mark, seconds after the Dixon incident.
His fitness will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Collingwood at the MCG.
Ruckman Paddy Ryder will also be assessed after missing much of the second half of the game against the Eagles after aggravating a hip flexor injury.
Midfielder Jared Polec pulled up sore in his right hamstring and will be assessed ahead of the clash against the Magpies.
Meanwhile, defender Jimmy Toumpas is a chance to return from a wrist injury suffered in the SANFL in Round 16.
