PORT ADELAIDE defender Tom Jonas has accepted a fine after being charged with misconduct during the Power’s heart-stopping win over Brisbane on Saturday.

Jonas was among 13 players charged out of the weekend’s round of matches, but the only player to be cited from the Power’s five-point victory at Adelaide Oval.

Jonas was cited over an incident involving the Lions’ Josh Walker during the first quarter, during a passage of play which saw a Hamish Hartlett free kick reversed.

Based on the video evidence and a medical report from Brisbane, the incident was classified as misconduct worthy of a $2500 sanction.

Jonas was able to accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea and without appearing before the tribunal.
