PORT ADELAIDE will enter the 2019 season with the league’s seventh oldest list but its third most experienced.

The Power has four players aged 30 or older with Justin Westhoff the oldest at 32 and Paddy Ryder, Robbie Gray and Travis Boak each having turned 30 in 2018.

Champion Data’s analysis has Port Adelaide’s average age at 24.09, on par with North Melbourne and only slightly younger than Essendon (24.11).

Hawthorn has the league’s oldest list at an average age of 24.86, closely followed by Collingwood and Adelaide.

Gold Coast’s list is the competition’s youngest at an average age of 23.24 with Brisbane (23.43) and Carlton (23.55) not far behind.

Hawthorn also leads the competition for average games played per player with 80.53.

Port Adelaide’s 71.98 ranks it third behind Collingwood’s 78.87.

Gold Coast’s players have played an average 50.15 games – a league-low.
