Executive General Manager Matthew Richardson said the primary objective is once again keeping membership pricing as affordable as possible.
“Whether that be reserved seating options, upgrades or general admission membership where a season ticket still comes in at less than $20 per game, we want to provide value for money,” he said.
“We are a member first club and will continue to drive value into our membership packages to ensure that the best value way to see Port Adelaide games is through being a member of the club.
“We have also listened to some feedback from potential new members in recent years and have modified the seating model at Adelaide Oval to ensure that those people wanting the security of season reserved seat can buy them from today.
“There are season reserved seats available as of Tuesday and members on the Wait List will still retain their priority for premium seating options.”
There will be a modest price increase of around four percent on average and Richardson said the club had done its best to limit the impact to members of the increasing costs of playing at Adelaide Oval.
Importantly, Port Adelaide members continue to pay some of the cheapest prices in the AFL, ranking in the bottom half of all teams, despite the club again being ranked the best for game day experience for home games in 2018.
“Our members are incredibly loyal,” Richardson said.
“Clearly the challenge is to get the on-field results to match the expectations of our members, we understand this loud and clear.
“Our members have a voice - and they also know they will be heard.
“They keep us honest. They demand results. But they stay loyal because they know their football club is listening to them.”
With 2020 and the club’s 150th anniversary year fast approaching, Port Adelaide will be looking to introduce a formal recognition program which acknowledges and rewards consecutive years of membership support and we look forward to sharing that with our members next season.
One of the key pieces of information for members to look out for in their renewals this year is to ensure the records we have for years of membership are accurate.
2019 membership renewals will kick in from October 17.
Fans with reserved seats at Adelaide Oval have until November 30 to keep their places.
