GEELONG’S Steven Motlop has nominated Port Adelaide as his club of choice for the 2018 season and beyond.
Port Adelaide’s list manager Jason Cripps confirmed on Friday Motlop’s management contacted the club and expressed their desire for the 26-year-old to join the Power.
Port have lodged paperwork with the AFL, giving Geelong three days to consider whether they will match the offer.
Motlop – a restricted free agent – has played 135 games and kicked 175 goals in his eight-year career at the Cats.
