BRENDON AH CHEE has fallen four votes short of Norwood's Mitch Grigg in the 2017 Magarey Medal count.
Polling in nine games throughout the year, and being named best-on-ground by the SANFL umpires in three, Ah Chee was an early leader in the count, but fell behind as AFL duties summoned him to the premier league with the Power.
Upon his return, he polled in all-bar-two of the Magpies' final seven games.
Aaron Young was second for Port overall, polling 12 votes from just five games.
He along with skipper Steven Summerton polled maximum votes on two occsions.
Summerton was third among his teammates, polling 10 votes.
