The Port Adelaide Football Club mourns the passing of past player Lyle Dayman.
Lyle passed away last week, aged 96. Club records suggest he was Port Adelaide's oldest player.
Debuting for the club against Norwood early in the 1941 season, Lyle played 111 games in a career that ended in the 1950 season.
He playing service was broken only by a period of national service between 1944 and 1945 in the 7 Australian Ordnance Stores Company during World War II.
Lyle was made a Port Adelaide life member in 1950.
