WILL SNELLING was sent to hospital as a precaution on Saturday afternoon after being sent from the field with a suspected jaw injury.
The young Magpie midfielder was sidelined after a collision from former teammate Paul Stewart in Saturday's 21-point loss to the Eagles at Alberton.
Speaking after the game, Magpies coach Chad Cornes also suggested Snelling landed badly on his ankle during the incident and may be forced to contend with dual injuries.
"He might have some form of head injury and maybe [another] having fallen on his ankle," Cornes said.
"I think [he's got] a jaw and maybe an ankle [injury]."
Port Adelaide's high performance team will await scan results early this week to determine the extent of Snelling's injury.
