DESPITE scans showing only "minor signalling", Jared Polec appears unlikely to face Collingwood on Saturday. 

However, the running midfielder will shape for a return to footy against Richmond in Round 15, according to the Power's head of high performance Darren Burgess.

"The scans showed minor signalling - very minor - but we think he'll be a long shot to play against Collingwood," Burgess said. 

"We're confident he'll play against Richmond next week."

It's a similar situation for Aidyn Johnson, whose sprained AC joint will keep him out of action for just one week.

With Port's SANFL side facing a bye this weekend, that should mean Johnson won't miss any game time.
