SOMETIMES when you’re watching a footy game you get to overhear some pretty amusing stuff.

We’re not talking taunts from the outer, we’re talking about young fans taking the opportunity to catch up with the senior coach.

These brave kids sneaked into the grandstand at Prospect Oval during the Magpies’ big win over North last Sunday for a photo with Power coach Ken Hinkley.

Brock (pictured in the Power scarf) had a particularly good chat to Kenny about all things footy, and while Ken was happy to talk everything from the Power’s on-field form, to how these kids are going at their own clubs, the biggest surprise was yet to come...

Brock told Ken of a conversation he’d had with Matthew Lobbe at a Magpies game a few weeks earlier – just after the big ruck had returned from a PCL injury.

He asked ‘Lobbes’ when he’d be back playing for the Power.

The ruckman’s response?

'Tell Kenny to put me back in the AFL team.'

Brock came good on Sunday and deliver that message to the Power coach.

Ken's response?

“I might need to have a little chat with ‘Lobbes...’”

With that in mind, portadelaidefc.com.au can reveal that Lobbe’s outstanding performance against the Roosters put him squarely in the frame for a recall, and he’ll make his return against the Dees on Saturday night.

Lucky for Lobbe, he had Brock in his corner!
