PORT ADELAIDE'S membership total now stands at 56,039 - its third-biggest tally on the eve of its first home game.
That figure eclipses the 2014 figure of 55,709 members (pre-AFL audit).
Membership sales have spiked in the build-up to the 2017 season, with strong sales following the Power's Round 1 win ahead of their first home game against Fremantle this Sunday.
With the 60,000-member mark still firmly within sights for Port Adelaide, chief executive officer Keith Thomas called on members to help drive renewals for the season ahead in his CEO Update on Thursday night.
Port's general manager of marketing and consumer business Matthew Richardson said Power season tickets memberships are still among the best value in the AFL.
"An 11-game membership is among the best value in the AFL, and roughly half the price of buying game tickets each week," Mr Richardson said.
"This past fortnight has seen very strong growth on the back of momentum heading into the season, and today's membership figure update is really encouraging going into our first home game for the year against Freo.
"Memberships remain the best value for getting to the game, and for directly supporting the club; getting 60,000 members is our standard now - we just need those last few 2016 members on board.
"With our game day experience still one of the biggest attractions in Australian sport and with matches like our first home game against Freo, the Showdown, Anzac Round and night games against Hawthorn and Collingwood later in the year, there's no better time to get on board Port Adelaide."
