Peter Jackson Player of the Week
Kane Mitchell
Skill errors cost him last week but not this week. He used the ball so much better and made good decisions as well across the entire match. Mitch used his running ability really well in both offence and defence and I felt he showed great leadership around the stoppages.

Jake Neade
Started really well and had some good moments when in possession and his pressuring of the opposition was also very good. Unfortunately a knock to his head late in the third quarter stopped him from seeing out the game.
Mitch Harvey
A very good last month for Mitch, who is now mainly playing as a true forward. Gives us a strong contest inside-50 as well as bringing others into the game.
Steven Summerton
Just a very good performance over four quarters, a good balance between defence and offence - the skipper really did have a huge impact on the game.
Brendon Ah Chee
Very strong first quarter but just went out of the game a little over the next three, still he provided us with energy and a contest and his ability to mark the ball forward was a highlight.
Tom Logan
Absolutely one of the toughest players I’ve coached, courage is definitely part of his DNA. Really good defensive game and put his body on the line in so many contests repeatedly throughout the match.
Sam Russell
Really liked the way this boy defended, beat his opponent and was prepared to be far more proactive in marking contests. Has shown good improvement over the past six weeks.
Louis Sharrad
More than played his role this week. Louie was one of our better players and we liked his ability to put enormous pressure on the oppo over four quarters.
Robbie Young
Did not have big numbers but what we really liked from Robbie was his team-first approach. He went out of his way on numerous occasions to help a teammate win the ball at the sacrifice of his own game.
Andrew Moore
Got a bit of his mojo back this week. Moorey was strong on the inside of stoppage against a very good Westies midfield, but also worked hard away from stoppage to help the team in offence.
Darcy Byrne-Jones
Very much like Sam Russell, I felt Darcy defended really well with lots of aggression. Rebounded the ball with energy and speed and made good decisions going inside our forward-50.
Dougal Howard
The first-gamer only had a certain amount of game time to spend out on the ground, but what I can say is he showed to us and our group that he is very enthusiastic and very coachable. Attacked the ball strongly in the air and on the ground.
Cam O’Shea
Very pleased for Cam - he would take some positives out of his performance this week. Worked hard in defence and played his role superbly for us and had great composure when in possession.
Jarred Redden
Just down from previous weeks, but still there was plenty of fight and plenty to like about his game. We do rely heavily on him week to week but he is now starting to get a bit more support so we can freshen him up over the next few weeks.
Jesse Palmer
Jesse is doing everything right at this level and he has learned quickly that good preparation is vital to play every week as a first-year player. Showed again he is willing to put his head over the ball and due to this he will spend more time in the midfield.
Sid Masters
Best game for the year. He handled his matchup well and is starting to feel a little more comfortable at the level. Uses the ball well and is learning to defend with far more aggression and purpose.
Johann Wagner
Consistently playing good solid footy now, making much better decisions on where to run and influence contests and also looks to hunt the oppo when they win back the ball. Progressing well.
Anthony Biemans
Really solid down back this week and showed good composure when under pressure. We really value highly his strong attack on the ball and he had a much better balance to attack and defence this week.
Billy Frampton
Second game for big Billy and he is so similar to Dougal where he loves to compete and get into the contest. Rucked really well and showed great team care and composure throughout the game.
Nathan Krakouer
Lots to like about the Krakouer performance, not big numbers but he was elite with his ability to set up many attacking plays for us. Defended strongly and put enormous pressure on the opposition when they were in possession.
John Butcher
Very good performance from John, defended much better this week and we felt he had his speed and energy back. Looked dangerous when he went forward and should take lots of confidence from this game.
