Anthony Biemans and Tom Logan have been recognised as the winners of the prestigious Fos Williams and Anthony Williams Memorial Trophies at Port Adelaide’s annual best and fairest count.
The Fos Williams Memorial Trophy is awarded to the player who is deemed most dedicated to his football by the Magpies coaching panel.
Biemans claimed the award after a season where he overcame form and injury to cement his place in the side.
A member of Port Adelaide’s SANFL leadership group, Biemans has been a staple utility for the Magpies since crossing from South Barwon at the start of 2014.
Logan won the Anthony Williams Memorial Trophy as the most courageous Magpie for 2015.
His toughness around stoppages and attack on the ball, as well as his trademark willingness to throw himself at contests with little regard for his own safety continued to be displayed by the fan favourite all year.
Both awards were presented by Fos’s son and Anthony’s brother Stephen Williams – the three-time premiership coach and multiple premiership player with Port Adelaide.
