KANE CORNES will act as this year's premiership cup ambassador as revealed by league CEO Gil McLachlan at the launch of the 2015 AFL Finals Series on Monday.
The role will see Cornes, who retired as Port Adelaide's first 300-game player in the AFL in Round 8 this year, travel with the premiership trophy to all key events as part of grand final week.
Other persons honoured with roles during the finals series include Andrew McLeod, who will present the Norm Smith Medal on grand final day; Robert Walls, who will award the Jock McHale Medal to the winning coach; and Simon Beasley who will present the Coleman Medal to West Coast Eagles key forward Josh Kennedy.
Bryan Adams, Ellie Goulding and Chris Isaak will feature in grand final entertainment.
