IT'S the final game of the 2015 AFL season for Port Adelaide, and even with Freo likely to bring a lesser-standard team for the flight over, there's plenty of opportunity for the Power to build momentum heading into 2016.

FOUR QUARTERS

THE STAKES
Fremantle have secured the AFL minor premiership and Port Adelaide cannot make finals, both come in with nothing to gain and nothing to lose. A win for Port Adelaide would seal ninth position.

THE STOCKS
Port Adelaide got through another game unscathed last Saturday; the only injured players are those ruled out for the season. It’s a different story at Fremantle where the club has submitted a ‘rest’ plan to the AFL, requesting to send a weakened team in order to freshen up players ahead of their finals campaign.

THE HISTORY
The history between these clubs is pretty even with Port with a narrow 16-14 lead in the head-to-head, Port having the edge from 1997-2000, winning five games in a row before the Dockers evened up the ledger. The last time they played was in Round 1 this year, in a fiery encounter that Fremantle eventually won by seven points. The match before that was the 2014 Semi Final that Port won by 22 points.

THE VIBE
While it is unclear what team minor premiers Fremantle will send, a win for Port Adelaide would be its fourth-in-a-row and sixth from seven games. Desire to perform will be high.
