The Port Adelaide Football Club is aware of a complaint from a spectator arising from last night’s game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.

The club is still seeking more details but understands a young Western Bulldogs supporter was allegedly verbally abused late in the game in front of the northern mound.

Police and security were not informed about the matter at the time.

Port Adelaide released a spectator code of conduct last June reinforcing its commitment to creating a safe, comfortable and family friendly game-day experience for all Members and supporters.

As part of the spectator code of conduct the club will not tolerate unsociable or unruly behaviour of any form and reserves the right to revoke memberships or casual game day tickets should any offence be committed and should a situation warranting a ban arise.

Port Adelaide is extremely disappointed with last night’s allegations and urges anyone with more information to contact the club.
