JOHN Butcher, Karl Amon and Anthony Biemans will all play for Port Adelaide in its knockout semi final against Central District on Sunday.
All three have been named on the field of the Magpies’ 23-man squad for the all-important match with the Bulldogs at 12:10pm at the Adelaide Oval.
Butcher and Amon come into the Magpies’ line-up after finishing as part of Port Adelaide’s AFL team, while Biemans has been elevated after a four-goal performance against North Adelaide in the reserves qualifying final last weekend.
Biemans returned from a knee injury in that match.
Mason Shaw is the only omission from the team that lost to West Adelaide by 29 points last week, having been sidelined for the rest of the season with a groin injury.
The remaining two omissions will come from either Robbie Young, Ben Sawford, Tom Gray, Paul Stewart or Mitch Harvey, who have been named on the extended bench.
Port Adelaide’s Academy team will play Woodville-West Torrens at Richmond Oval on Saturday for a place in the reserves grand final.
The Magpies play Central District in the SANFL League First Semi Final at 12:10pm on Sunday 13 September at the Adelaide Oval.
