OLLIE Wines is poised to make his return from a wrist injury against Richmond this week.
While the hard-bodied inside midfielder will need to pass a fitness assessment in the lead-up to selection, Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess is cautiously confident the 20-year-old will be cleared.
“He’s been really good with his rehab and done all the right things, we just need to check off this last box,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“It’s about the point we’d hoped he’d be available too, so we’re really comfortable with the way he’s gone through this recovery.”

Alipate Carlile will also play the Tigers after being managed with back tightness last week.
“Bobby will play this week, his back just wasn’t quite right leading up to the Lions game so we made the call to rest him over the weekend,” Burgess said.
Dougal Howard and Billy Frampton continue to work towards their return and could be available when Port Adelaide takes on Central District in Round 9 of the SANFL competition.
