KANE Cornes retires on Sunday against the Tigers and as Port Adelaide's longest serving player in the AFL, has established a number of records for his teammates to hunt down.

We look at the current Cornes benchmarks and those who are currently leading the chase to reach them...

It's a tough ask for Westhoff to hunt down 300 club games. Because of Cornes's frequent selections and low injury count, Westhoff will need to find another 134 games before the end of his career. Assuming Port Adelaide plays a minimum of 22 games each season (not including finals), that would mean Westhoff would need to play almost every game for the next seven years, playing through until a club high age of 36.

Angus Monfries will have the most career games of any player on the Power's list after Sunday afternoon. At 198 games, now, he will need to play another 101 games from Round 9 onwards to match Cornes's title as Port Adelaide's most experienced AFL player. Similar to Westhoff, that means playing every minor round game for the next five seasons.

This is going to take some beating. Fremantle's Luke McPharlin is actually older than Cornes and has played just 232 games in the number 18 jumper (at Hawthorn and Freo). He will need to play every game through until early 2018, depending on how many finals Freo play in that time, to meet Cornes's mark. Brendon Goddard played 205 games in the number while at St Kilda, but now wearing No. 9 at Essendon, he's unlikely to add to that tally.

This would be quite an achievement. Matty Broadbent needs to play another 95 games-in-a-row to beat Kane's club record. That means he'll need to be in perfect shape, and form, for just over another three seasons from the end of this one...

Incredibly, Boaky has just passed the halfway mark of Kane's considerable disposals tally. From Boaky, it's daylight to Westhoff and Robbie Gray in the 2000s. This could be a very long standing record depending on how long Boaky keeps going.  At his current average (23.07 per game), Boaky will need to play another 143 games to beat Kane for disposals.

Odds are on that this record can be beaten, defenders typically rebound most often. Bobby is next closest to Kane with 419, and if they can have the longevity and long-term careers with the club, the likes of Jasper Pittard, Hamish Hartlett and Matty Broadbent could also give this benchmark a show.
