PORT ADELAIDE captain Travis Boak has been recognised for his 32-possession game against Adelaide, by drawing the maximum five votes in the Wok in a Box Fans’ MVP Award.
After a solid first three quarters, Boak stood up when it mattered most in the final term.
He finished the game with seven tackles and two goals.
Fans can log onto fansmvp.portadelaidefc.com.au after each game and cast 3,2,1 votes for the player they judge best afield. These votes are then scared to award five votes to the player with the most fan votes for that round, four votes to the player with the second most fan votes, and so on.
Chad Wingard was awarded four votes, his presence in the forward half giving the Adelaide defenders trouble as he burned off his opponents to kick three goals and assist in others.
Three votes were given to Hamish Hartlett whose ball use along the back half and the middle was much needed, while the remaining vote getters were Patrick Ryder (two) and Robbie Gray (one).
Gray still sits on top of the leaderboard with 36 votes, but Wingard has closed the gap and is within striking distance of the lead.
