CRAIG McKay was one of the 54,468 at Adelaide Oval today and he gives us his top five Power players from Showdown 39.
Travis Boak
Our best 4 quarter performer on the day and as usual put the team on his back and almost got us over the line. Huge last quarter including a top goal from 50 and a number of key contested ball wins in the middle. Would have been the medal winner had we got over the line. Is irresistable when in that sort of form.
Chad Wingard
Another strong effort by Mr consistent. 3 goals, a couple of assists, was all over the place up forward and Adelaide had no real answer in containing him. They tried Brown, Laird for a while, Smith for a while but Chad kept getting in front and winning the football. Skills were great and was good further up the ground.
CROWD: 54,468 set Oval record
Paddy Ryder
Great game by Paddy. Reasonable in the ruck and ever dangerous up forward. Took some nice grabs and kicked 3 important goals. Needed to slot that one in the last though. Outside of the Hawks game, it was probably his best game of the year.
Hamish Hartlett
I thought that was another great performance by Hammer. Was excellent across half back in the first half and pushed through the middle well in the second half. The last two weeks have been close to his best games for the year so its good he's coming into some great consistent form. Used it better than he has almost all year.
TALKING POINTS: Five hot topics from Showdown 39
Robbie Gray
Was great in the middle and dangerous up forward all day. The one midfielder we had all day that was able to get some clean clearances at the stoppages and get it forward effectively. Dished off a number of goals as well. Went head to head with Douglas who also had a good game.
