CHAD Wingard’s claim for a second All-Australian selection was done no disservice by his incredible impact up forward in 2015.
Wingard will for the first time be confirmed as Port Adelaide’s leading goal kicker at the club’s best and fairest presentation on December 5.
He booted 53 goals in 2015 – a career high – to confirm his status as one of the leading small forwards of the competition.
The Power’s final match against Fremantle was the only in which he failed to score a goal.
Averaging 19.18 disposals per game spending a career-high percentage of match time in the midfield, Wingard will surely be named in the AFL’s team of the year for not just his incredible forward impact, but his ability to win and use the ball.
Wingard had 20 goal assists for the season.
His 53-goal haul is the eighth biggest in the club's AFL history.
