Callan Ward

With three of their top four possession gatherers out of the side due to injury, (Treloar, Shiel and Coniglio), a lot of the midfield grunt will be on Ward’s shoulders this week.

Averaging six clearances per game, nearly 25 disposals and over 330m gained per game, Ward is a dangerous inside midfielder with burst speed and an elite kick that will hurt the Power if he’s given enough time.

Heath Shaw

Shaw is the Giants’ main avenue to score, sitting at number one for GWS for possession gains and metres gained - with nearly 500m on average per game. An elite kick in general play, it’s important for the Power forwards to not allow him to impact as he pleases.

With Angus Monfries back in the squad this week, we may see a re match of the infamous tango between Shaw and Gus in the 2013 elimination final against Collingwood, where Monfries was awarded two free kicks for rough play by Shaw - one resulting in a major.

Jeremy Cameron

With 48 goals 31 behinds from 18 games, Cameron is currently sitting second in the Coleman (just behind Josh Kennedy) and has had more shots on goal than Buddy Franklin this season.

Cameron is their number one target inside 50 for the season, and the Power will need to be aware of his ability to put space between himself and his defender with great speed and agility.
