Port Adelaide raised almost $8,000 through its annual Family Day, with proceeds from the gate to go towards the club's Community Youth Program. 

The program, approaching its 20th year under the supervision of manager Russell Ebert, is an in-school program that promotes healthy lifestyles and life choices. 

Port Adelaide players and profile female athletes like Anna Meares and Erin Phillips also provide insights into their careers and the decisions that go towards building a successful sporting lifestyle.

Lorraine Mitchell was the lucky winner of the Family Day Major Raffle prize of a $1000 travel voucher.

She was presented the prize by the RAA - which is Port Adelaide's Official Membership Partner - at Alberton on Thursday.
