BRENDON Ah Chee and John Butcher will be free to play this Saturday after being rested last weekend with minor patella issues.

And experienced ruckman Patrick Ryder will be assessed on Wednesday to determine his fitness to play in the AFL on Saturday night.

While Ken Hinkley said the ruckman is a long shot to return against the Western Bulldogs, head of high performance Darren Burgess says there is a small chance he will be declared fit.

“It will all depend on how Paddy goes at training this week,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Butch and ‘Arch’ will be fine to go.”

First-year ruckman Billy Frampton will also be considered for his first SANFL game this week if he passes fit at training.

The 200cm former East Fremantle junior has been in long-term recovery from shin surgery, and is poised to make his debut against Central District on Saturday afternoon.

“Billy is also going to have a test at training and we’ll make a call from there, but he’s looking good for a return this week,” Burgess said.

“He’s worked really well through his rehab.”

Jared Polec will be rescanned this week with the Power’s high performance team to reassess his rehab from there.
