PORT Adelaide played North Adelaide in the 1963 SANFL Grand Final. After setting an Australian record of six consecutive premiership wins only a couple of years prior, Port Adelaide was still a formidable football side.

Coached by the legendary Fos Williams and captained by Greatest Team member Geof Motley, some of the biggest names in the club's history took to Adelaide Oval in the famous black and white prison bar guernsey.

Names like Cahill, Philp, Hannaford and the Obsts played in this famous win - Philp leading the way with three goals.

This was Port Adelaide fifth win over the Roosters from six Grand Finals.
