Port Adelaide midfielder Travis Boak has accepted a charge for making negligent contact with an umpire in last Sunday's game against Richmond.

He made contact with umpire Stephen McBurney during the final quarter of the match and was sanctioned $1800 for a second offence by the AFL Match Review Panel.

A second offence for making negligent contact with an umpire carries a $2400 sanction, reduced by 25% to $1800 with an early plea.
